Let’s be completely honest, planning and prepping for a photo session can feel stressful, especially when it comes to what everyone should wear. That’s where I come in. I’m here to help you choose outfits that photograph well and feel comfortable at the beach. Once you arrive for your session you can relax and enjoy this time with your family, knowing you’re prepared and everything is taken care of.

Moms

Start with yourself!!  As much as you love your family, take this opportunity to choose something that makes you feel comfortable. I love dresses but wide leg pants work nicely too, if you are a jeans person pair it with a button up shirt. You will be sitting, bending, walking and picking up kids so consider this when making your clothing selection. Make sure when you move you are not having to adjust your bra straps and necklines. Also check to make sure you are not exposing parts of your body you don’t want to expose.

Choose a 2 to 3 color palette in the same tone and sprinkle in some neutrals. Avoid matching tones. Choose Earthy tones, soft muted tones or bolder tones like yellows, burgundy or green if you want to go bolder .

Dads

A nice pair of khakis, gray or navy shorts/pants with any neutral colored button up could coordinate with almost any color dress you choose for yourself!

Dads, your kids love it when you play, run and hug on them.

Think about what you like to do with your little ones. Do you throw them up? Tickle them? Swing them? Have them on your shoulders? or Race?

Girls

Have fun with this!! Dresses are adorable and allow for lots of twirling and playing! Make sure to have little ones wear bloomers or bike shorts under their dress!

Boys

Younger boys look great in rompers or one piece outfits, older boys can pair khaki or navy shorts with any color shirt. Check out Target or H &M for options.
